Try a refreshing herbal infusions straight from your
garden.
Lemon Myrtle leaves infused in boiling water make a great
drink and there is no need to dry the leaves first. A sprig of leaves can be added
to the teapot to share or a leaf or two directly
into your tea cup for one. I crumple the leaves a little first to impart the
flavour.
The leaves can be dried and ground, then used in many dishes
adding a distinctive citrus flower.
Lemon Myrtle is an evergreen native tree (Backhousia Citriodora) that can grow to 20 metres, though ours is only about 2 metres high and has been growing for some years. Have a look here for more information.
I am having a go at propagating some Lemon Myrtle plants and
should I have success, I would love to barter one of these plants for something
from your garden.
Great tip here.I look forward to many more.
